BRO JOSEPH BASIL PEREZ, OSB (1925-2012)
Joseph Basil Perez was born in Matura in the County of St. Andrew, Trinidad on 14 June 1925.   His father, William, died while he was still an infant and his mother, Daniela, died when he was nine years old.  He joined the Abbey of Mount St Benedict on 02 February 1947and was professed as a monk on 04 February 1950.  Bro Joe, as he is affectionately called,

Our dearly beloved Fr. Ignatius Oudshoorn passed away at Nijmegen, Holland, on Friday 09 December 2011.  The funeral took place at the Chapel of Berchmanianum, Nijmegen, where he spent his last years, on Friday 16 November 2011.  He was later buried in the monastic cemetery of The Abbey ...
